About the Author

Clara Villanueva was born in Valencia and studied translation at the University of Granada. She lived for several years in London where she worked as a teacher, translator, voice-over artist and magazine editor. She now lives in southwest France with her husband and two children. She is the author of seven books in Spanish for language students and of several guidebooks to Spain. I, Carmela is her first novel.
